WebFolders allow users to access, create, and manage IntelliEnterprise folders and documents directly using their desktop applications. adenin WebFolders are based on the Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) protocol. WebDAV can be used by a variety of popular applications and operating systems like Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office, Macromedia Dreamweaver or Mac OS X.
For example users can browse the IntelliEnterprise repository directly from Microsoft Windows® Explorer, providing the ability to conveniently drag and drop documents and folders between a users local machine and IntelliEnterprise. By simply double-clicking on a document, users can open it for viewing and editing directly in its native application, such as Microsoft Word. There is no need to re-upload documents to IntelliEnterprise after editing, which saves time and reduces the risk of user error. With WebFolders, IntelliEnterprise becomes an integral part of a user's local desktop environment.

My Network Places

|
Drag & Drop Functionality
Publish or download multiple files with Drag & Drop between WebFolders and local directories.
|

Version Control & History
WebFolders are completely integrated with the version control & change history of the adenin Document Management. For instance, if a file is opened in MS Word, the WebFolder server makes an automatic check-out of the document. If Word is closed without saving the document, the check- out will be undone. If a new version is saved in Word, the WebFolders will check-in a new version automatically.
