Create Micro Apps

In this section we cover three different Elements from the Card Designer that allow you to replicate content from your IntelliEnterprise installation:

  1. Show content from a HTML Content Portlet
  2. Show a list of files and subcategories
  3. Show a form

If you're not familiar with creating Card Designer projects, please follow the Card Building Guide first. You can download a template that includes all the Elements mentioned above.

Open your component in the Card Designer and go to the "Add Elements" tab to add one of the Elements covered in this section:

1. Item Element

The 'Item' Element is used show content from a HTML Content Portlet from within IntelliEnterprise. Add the Element to your Card's design and then click on it to open its configurations:

The string should be formatted as follow <connector-name>/file/<topic-id>
The connector-name is the technical name you have assigned your Connector on the previous page
To retrieve the Topic ID open it in the HTML Editor and from the URL copy the string of the last attribute, e.g. &t=1022034 would give you the Topic ID 1022034

You can give your Element a technical name here
url
This should be /api/adenin.GateKeeper.Connector/
view
Enter {{raw.Extensions_htmlContent}}. You can style the outpout by wrapping into a div, for example <div class="m">

2. Form Element

The 'Form' Element will read out an application's fields and then show them as a mobile-friendly form that creates a new record when the user clicks 'Submit'. Add the Element to your Card, then click it to open its configurations:

The connector-name is the technical name you have assigned your Connector on the previous page
The Form ID can be retrieved by opening the form in a new browser window and noting the tr attribute, e.g. &tr=1000054 would give you the Form ID 1000054
successMessage
Will show a custom message in the confirmation window after the form has been submitted

3. Folder Explorer Element

The Folder Explorer shows you the topics located in a certain category, including the ability to open all the Subcategories that are available. Add the Element to your Card's design and then click on it to open its configurations:

The Category ID can be retrieved by opening the target Category in the browser noting the c attribute, e.g. &c=1026070 would give you the Category ID 1026070

If unchecked will display a search input above the folders for easy searching
Name
You can give the element a different technical name here
page
Restricts how many pages should be shown
pageSize
Select how many items should be shown on a page before a new page is created
searchPlaceholder
Enter what the placeholder text should be for the search input, e.g. 'Search these files'.
searchTerm
Enter a default search term that will be entered into search input
